Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus: Kryvyi Rih is the capital of cooperation between Ukraine and Belarus

On June 26, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Ukraine Ihor Sokol paid a working visit to Kryvyi Rih. Together with Mayor Yurii Vilkul, they launched seven new trolleybuses on the line and held a joint meeting in the executive committee of the city council.

“Today a significant event took place in the city, both for residents of Kryvyi Rih and for Belarusian-Ukrainian relations. I want to note that Kryvyi Rih is the capital of cooperation between Ukraine and Belarus. It has serious grounds, because the two most important engineering products - BilAZ and MAZ, produced by Belarus, we export to Kryvyi Rih. Long-standing relations are successfully confirmed by BelAZ vehicles at mining enterprises, and now by trolleybuses from the Minsk Automobile Plant. Already 36 trolleybuses went on city routes. I think that all Kryvyi Rih residents will appreciate the new comfortable transport. We are proud of our work!”  Ihor Sokol said.

“Our city has been cooperating with Belarus for a long time. First of all, in the industrial sector. In the future, we plan to expand the framework of cooperation. We are discussing the possibility of supplying communal equipment to Kryvyi Rih,” Mayor Yurii Vilkul said.

Kryvyi Rih continues to work on developing and improving the city's route network for passenger transport. As part of a joint project with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the city received new, comfortable trolleybuses. 36 vehicles from 54 contracted trolleybuses have already arrived in Kryvyi Rih.

In May, the city received 7 new trolleybuses of the brand, which work successfully on routes №8 and №11. The next seven units of electric transport will work on the routes: №18 «stop. 10th microdistrict – Mussogorsky street (stop. "Sports Complex") ", №11 "station Kryvyi Rih - Zavodska (Factory) street (via Svitlogirska Street, Kaspiyska Street) ”, №5 station mine "Elektrozavodskaya" -  Liberation square (via Dyshynskoho Street).
