Reconstruction of the pool of the palace of water sports of Sports School for Children and Youth №1 is already at the final stage
Mayor Yurii Vilkul held a working session on the complex reconstruction of facilities of Sports School for Children and Youth №1. So, works in the palace of water sports, on the 50-meter pool reached the final stage.
“The city put a lot of effort into this facility. It was very difficult because the pool has not been repaired for decades. We had to replace almost everything. In fact, we are building a new modern pool. We equip it with a new bowl, gyms, updated communications, equipment, water purification system and more. All unforeseen situations that arose during dismantling and repair have been eliminated. It will be a really new sports facility with convenient, comfortable conditions for both children and adults,” the Mayor said.
Now, the premises for exercise equipment have been finished, and repairs in locker rooms and showers are being completed. The pool bowl has been tested and is 75% covered with respective materials. This work is planned to be completed in the second half of August. And then the bowl will be filled with water with cleaning and filtration and then launch adjustment works will be carried out. The hall is also being repaired. Also, the external landscaping works are being completed, namely the repair of the ground floor of the building.
Not only the building itself is being repaired, but also the territory adjacent to the palace of water sports is being put in order. The mayor set a task to complete all work and prepare the pool for launch by the beginning of the school year.
